Abstract
This paper reviews the development experience of the power industry in China, introduces its demand for technical innovation. As a new technology for huge capacity and low loss transmission over long distance, Ultra-high-voltage (UHV) transmission is indispensable for the power system with a very extensive service area and heavy energy delivery in China in the future
