Abstract
Condor is a grid middleware package developed by the University of Wisconsin [1] to allow desktop computers to harness idle time to perform computationally intensive operations. Condor can provide free computing cycles for research use, which increases supercomputing capacity by acquiring additional computing time on otherwise idle desktop PCs in campus PC labs. Here we describe our approach to utilize Windows PCs in campus PC labs to run Linux applications with Condor.
