Abstract :
In this paper, a new adaptive algorithm using URV updating for blind multiuser detection in impulsive noise is proposed. It is shown that under this scheme, the linear minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) detector can be obtained blindly, i.e., they can be estimated from the received signal with the prior knowledge of only the signature waveform and timing of the user of interest. Simulation results show that the new algorithm offers substantial performance gains over the traditional subspace methods in both synchronous and asynchronous non-Gaussian Channels.
