Abstract :
In the application layer of ad hoc network, a location based video source switching algorithm is designed, by which mobile users can get the interested video content from other mobile devices. The algorithm is applied in a gymnasium scenario, for a point to point multi-hop video sharing application in ad hoc network that is self-organized by the mobile terminals. A prototype is implemented for this scenario. We demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed algorithm and analyze the performance of end-to-end packet loss rate and RTT (Round-trip time) in 1-hop and 2-hop cases.
