Abstract :
In this paper, we first present a new distance between fuzzy numbers, then rank fuzzy numbers with the help of the new distance, and then we apply the distance to linear programming with fuzzy coefficients, transforming linear programming with fuzzy coefficients into crisp linear programming. Finally, we give a numerical example to illustrate its feasibility.
