Abstract
Clock synchronization is one of the key technologies in wireless ad hoc networks. As a decentralized network, we usually realize clock synchronization by using mutual synchronization methods. Despite of performance in clock synchronization, current mutual synchronization methods have some shortcomings, such as high complexity and overhead. In this paper, a clock synchronization approach using weight coefficient in wireless ad hoc networks is presented. Based on the time difference between nodes, different weight coefficients are assigned to corresponding nodes, then each node adjusts its own time and we achieve clock synchronization. This method can decrease the influence of nodes with unexpected time difference on synchronization performance, and improve convergent speed. It can also eliminate the interference of stationary nodes and vibrating nodes by making their weight coefficients zero. Simulation results show that the method satisfied both synchronization error and convergent speed on quest, especially obtaining anti-interference ability.
