Abstract :
According to Seger (1994), implicit learning is the process of learning complex information without complete verbalisable knowledge of what is learned. Six characteristics of implicit learning have been discussed in this essay. The development and application of information technology in field of foreign language teaching in China can immensely help promote college students´ foreign language implicit learning in four ways: provide sufficient multimedia learning materials; combine implicit learning with explicit learning; create a favorable environment for learners´ reading and listening activities; imitate a real foreign language learning situation.
