Abstract :
In this paper, Finite Element Method is used to study local stress concentration in concrete. As existing analytical formula are suitable only to those cases with single aggregate, cases for 2, 3 and 4 aggregates are studied in the paper. Corresponding numerical results are compared to those from multiple use of single aggregate analytical solutions, based on which inter-effects amongst multiple aggregates are given.
