Abstract :
In a previous study, we proposed a method for identifying hardships in a task by analyzing operating logs of learners using a multimedia player. However, this method could not deal with the varying rate of playback speed; thus, it was difficult to compare the analyzed operation logs for each user. We propose the CPT (Cumulative Playback Time) and normalized CPT as a more generic calculation for the time consumed by user operations for watching of a video. The average result of normalized CPT for 9 subjects could cover almost all aspects of the difficulty of a task (task hardship). Moreover, by using normalized CPT, we could classify the segments of task hardship.
