Abstract :
Interleaved two inductor boost converters are widely used as a source for stepping up low voltage of renewable energy sources to a voltage required for high power applications. Voltage doubler circuits promotes the boosting of the low voltage. DC-DC converters have advantages like increased efficiency, simplicity in circuit and reduced size. Soft switching minimizes diode reverse recovery losses. A better boosting of the voltage can be made by incorporating a voltage doubler within the circuit. Interleaved boost converters provides better performance due to ripple cancellation. Interleaved Soft Switched Boost Converters provides better load regulation. Simulation results obtained on 10 W model is discussed.
