Abstract :
This paper gives a synchronized multi-user detection algorithm based on the ML(maximum likelihood) criterion, which is deduced from the standard VA (Viterbi algorithm). This algorithm can realize the recursive computation through the constructed metric recursive function and the renewed branch transferring metric. The algorithm can be used in the multi-user receiver when the channel information is known a prior. Simulation results show that the offered algorithm is the optimal algorithm, and can apparently reduce the bit error probability compared to the standard matrix detection algorithm under the condition that the decoding complexity is improved.
