We present some of the management, technology, and systems issues that arise when handling bags in, out, and through a modern airport. We look at some of the technological changes including check-in departures, bag transport, bag sorting, bag screening, early bag controls (errors and exceptions), bags arrivals and systems aspects. We conclude by considering future trends
