Organization and management of dual mode institutions: The University of Lagos Nigeria experience

The paper set out to investigate the organization of Dual mode institution as it relates to its operation in the University of Lagos Nigeria. The study examined the global trend in the development of Open and Distance education and pointed out the need for making education accessible to the majority of the people without any restrictions. It presented the organizational structure of the dual mode as it is operating in the University of Lagos Nigeria. It revealed the problem of leadership as the main problem of its development in the past but showed a positive move towards an ideal open and distance education for the future.
