Abstract :
Because of shortages when the conventional Eddy Current Sensor used in the Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) system, a new kind of Differential Eddy Current Displacement Sensor (DECDS) which is integrated with the AMB is designed in this thesis. And the characteristics of the DECDS for AMB system has been studied. A correction instrument of static characteristics has been designed. During the experiments of static characteristics of the DECDS, the sensitivity, linearity, hysteresis and repeatability are researched.
