Abstract :
Proteins are of the highest content in organism, which function as the most important biological macromolecules. So the ability to identify proteins and to determine their covalent structures has been central to the life sciences. Mass spectrometry is an analytical technique for measuring the charge to mass ratio of ions, due to its high accuracy, it is a central analytical technique for protein research and for the study of bio-molecules. To identify and quantify proteins at an increasing sensitivity in more complex samples, plenty of new mass spectrometry-based analytical strategies have emerged.
