Abstract :
A practical, high accuracy, optical fiber based high voltage sensor, the hybrid OFHVS, is discussed in detail in this paper. The operating principles, the practical structure and technical details regarding this kind of OFHVS are given. Because of the requirement for high accuracy and long term stability the optimum single crystal BSO (Bi 12SiO20) is used as the sending head material, and through theoretical analysis and numerical calculation the thickness of the BSO single crystal corresponding to the zero temperature dependency of the sensitivity is obtained. Finally, the signal processing and high voltage measurement methods are proposed, and some experimental measurement results are included
