Abstract :
A mobile communication system is considered that employs binary convolutional coding and binary differential phase-shift keying and for which the code symbols are subject to correlated Rician fading. A closed-form expression is derived for the pairwise error probabilities. This result is used to examine the effects of finite interleaving depth on the performance of convolutional codes in Rician-fading channels
