Abstract :
Signal integrity and compliance to EMC standards has generated the need for a surface mount package filter with transient voltage suppressor (TVS) for the purpose of minimizing the effects of conducted radiated emissions and transient immunity, such as ESD and EFT. This paper addresses the design and performance characteristics of a filter/TVS combination type product for high speed digital and analog circuits. These combined functions within a single package have also minimized some traditional problems that occur when adding an across the line component to I/O port interfaces
