Abstract :
Daily life noise wields various types of unfavorable influences on the residents. A direct solution to this problem is to install entire soundproof materials in rooms but it is highly expensive and impractical. Calm technology is one of the useful solutions by which unpleasant perception can be moved from the center of user´s attention to the periphery of the user´s consciousness. However, the unpleasant perception must be detected correctly before applying the calm technology to this situation. In this paper, a novel framework to detect unpleasant auditory perception using biological information, such as Electroencephalogram (EEG) and Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF), will be proposed. In addition, the possibility of the proposed method will be examined using preliminary experimental results.
