Abstract
A sequential multihypothesis test designed for use with nonuniform decision costs is presented and its performance is characterized. Asymptotic efficiency of the test is shown, and the use of sequential multihypothesis tests in hybrid serial search schemes is discussed. A generalisation of the M-ary sequential probability ratio test is considered for the decision making problem
