Abstract :
We report the observation of quasi-phase-matched second harmonic generation in GaAs-AlAs superlattice waveguides. Quasi-phase-matching was achieved by modulating the bulk-like second-order susceptibility with a bandgap shift, induced using selective area quantum well intermixing.
