  • Abstract
    Tourism geographical information syst_ em (TGIS), which needs to integrate, manage, publish a lot of spatial and attribute data on the Internet, and ArcIMS provides us with an ideal technical platform. This paper analyzed the system structure and the key technology of TGIS. On this basis, Pingdingshan City TGIS was designed and implemented based on ArcIMS. It used standard three structures: the presentation layer, logic layer and data layer, and stored various geographic special data with Oracle. This system implemented efficient management of massive geospatial data and rapid response of information services. With the ArcSDE, ArcXML responded rapidly the requests of web users.
