Abstract :
This paper presents a multiple user class day-to-day stochastic assignment (MDSA) model and its solution algorithm, which can be reflected the driver´s daily route choice behavior according to the traffic information. User´s route choice mechanism is based on the past experience of the road traffic conditions that they took previous days. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the application and assessment of the MDSA model. The results of this paper show that the effect of provision of traffic information exist under the condition of proper demand, compliance with information, and the variance of travel time perception.
