Abstract
The development of low-power stations by SIP to feed new telephone exchanges in Italy is considered. The requirements to be satisfied were mechanical compactness, maximum modularity, excellent performance, very high reliability, and autodiagnosis and remote-control capabilities. The practical realization of such systems is described, and the operation and performance of the rectifier module configuration are discussed in detail
