The application of direct torque control converters in the loading equipment of engine running in bench

Abstract :
Based on the direct torque control technology, the application of ACS800 frequency converter is introduced in the loading equipment of engine running in bench. The serial communication control of frequency converter with Modbus protocol is implemented by Industrial computer, and the loading function is realized based on the principle when the setting speed of induction motor is lower than the actual speed, it will work in the generating mode. The loading energy is consumed by brake resistance. The system application and test show that the system has advantages of high precision, short response time, simple structure and high level of automation, which provides a novel scheme of loading equipment of engine running in bench with low-cost and high-performance.
