Abstract :
IPv4 address will be exhausted quickly all over the world. IPv6 is designed to succeed IPv4, the research and application of IPv6 network has being deployed now. In this paper, the construction of IPv6 network in Zibo Normal College is introduced; the transitional technologies from IPv4 to IPv6 are analyzed; the application of the tunneling technology according to the college status is explained; the implementation effect in the college is provided. Finally, the author forecast the future application of IPv6.
