Abstract
We address the problem of analyzing several source coding systems for a continuous Gauss-Markov process of any order. By using fine quantization approximations we derive expressions for the time-average smoothed error. Analytical bounds are derived for the time-average smoothed error for the different schemes. The tradeoff between the resolution of the process quantizers, the derivative quantizers and the sampling rate is shown both analytically and experimentally
