Abstract :
Multiple access interference(MAI) and related Near-far Problem (FNP), limit the development of the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system. The classic Minimum Mean Square Error-MUD (MMSE-MUD) algorithm can effectively suppress MAI. But too much error will be introduced into the approximate estimation and its computation complexity is too high. To solve this problem, this paper presents an improved MMSE-MUD algorithm. This improved algorithm significantly reduced the error been introduced into approximate estimation and computational complexity. Also has excellent convergence and BER performance. The simulation results show the effectiveness of this improved MMSE-MUD algorithm.
