Abstract :
With the advance of technology, embedded devices have been widely used in our lives, such as mp3, repeater, mobile phone, PDA, smart television, smart refrigerator, set-top box and robot. At the same time, people hope embedded devices can be more manageable and maintainable. This paper designs a TCP/IP-Based remote control system for embedded devices to meet people´s needs. The remote control system adopts client/server mode. The server is based on S3C6410 hardware platform and embedded Linux software platform. The client is developed by Java, which can be run anywhere. This system finally implements the keyboard and mouse control from personal computer to embedded devices. The test result shows that the system runs well whether in wired network or in wireless network. The system has carried its point. It was learned that there are few similar applications at present.
