Abstract :
This paper presents a new technique to get unity power factor in a single-phase rectifier based on a buck preregulator. The proposed control technique, which employs a feedforward of the output inductor current, allows the use of a small low frequency inductor with a high current ripple. Theoretical analysis, design procedure and experimental results of a 750 W, 30 kHz prototype are presented in the paper
