Abstract :
Energy consumption is an important part among railway operational costs. This paper explores the simulation problem on energy-efficient multi-train control under moving block system. The model for energy-efficient multi-train control is founded according to the operation rules and habits. The way to calculate the trainpsilas time interval under moving block system is introduced. The simulation model suits for the locomotives with discrete levels of control on uneven rail. It can clearly describe the impact on the following train by other trains. Based on energy-efficient control strategy, new algorithm is discussed about how to determine the control modes and handles of the following train for better headway. At last, it gives some simulation results to show that the methods of energy-efficient train control can avoid unnecessary braking and reduce the energy consumption.
