Abstract :
To provide scalable multicast video streaming services for heterogeneous and mobile users, we design a protocol called SAMP. It is based on a multicast service overlay model. By employing layered encoding, aggregated multicast, and user clustering, SAMP can handle heterogeneity, scalability and mobility very effectively. We conduct simulations and the results show the promising performance of SAMP.
