Abstract :
The design and performance of the power stage for an induction-heating inverter is presented. The inverter is fed by a rectifier without a filter in the DC link; when operated at resonance, at a frequency much higher than the mains frequency, it provides a high power factor without further power stages or switching strategies. Tests show that the harmonic performance is well within the limits set by the applicable standards for low power apparatus
