Abstract
This paper presents a new passive technique, ZVS, especially applied to IGBT turn-off operation. This solution is very robust and highly efficient. The ZVS is obtained without additional auxiliary switches and can be applied to all the basic power converters. Analysis and design for the boost DCM PWM DC-DC power converter using the proposed snubber are presented. Experimental and simulation results are also presented
