Abstract :
This paper presents a shunt active power filter controlled by a strategy based on variable structure theory (VSS): sliding mode control (SMC). A good dynamic response, robustness, stability and simple implementation is obtained with this control strategy. Analysis and modeling for a shunt active power filter as well as simulations and experimental results are presented
