Abstract :
To make the motion analysis of cam mechanisms, we develop software to help us achieve it with the aid of the three-coordinates measuring machine and the three-coordinates measuring machine scanner that can indicate the parameter of cam mechanisms. We use the VB and MATLAB as the development tool and MatrixVB as the interface between VB and MATLAB to realize the modules and integrate them together. Our software has the following function: the contour data of cam in the cam mechanisms, kinematic mechanism diagram of cam mechanisms, follower motion curves of cam mechanisms, the kinematics rule of cam mechanisms, the design parameter of cam mechanisms. Using this software to make the motion analysis, the precision of follower displacement is s ±0.001mm, the precision of follower velocity can be v ±0.001mm/s and the acceleration can be a ±0.001mm/s2.
