Abstract
Heart rate is a very important indicator for both amount of exercise and motor function. A waistband-like bipolar ECG collect system was designed and used. Traditional method was ineffective to get correct heart rate value from the bipolar ECG signals collected under motion state. Two popular time-frequency analysis methods were used and compared. The result showed that Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) method could recover heart rate information from polluted ECG signals effectively. After DWT and reconstruct operation, heart rate can be calculated exactly.
