Abstract :
Web-based interactive e-learning system to assist in teaching dasiaelectrical and electronic apparatuspsila course is presented. Virtual lab sessions on electromechanical and electronic devices that are essential part of any power conversion and distribution system are developed. Pre-lab knowledge test, introduction into the topic, guidelines and evaluation are incorporated into the system. Due to Web-based approach, the system could be used for distance learning. By using JavaScript for computation, costly simulation software is avoided. Friendly and intuitive interface enables shorter lab session start-up time and high teaching efficiency. Thus, combined with lectures, the system is used to fully cover teaching activities in one of the major undergraduate courses.
