Abstract
It is displayed, that out-of-vacuum electron-beam surface hardening represents effective production engineering of a reinforcement of the steels, ensuring a high level of their cyclic crack resistance. It is determined, that the fatigue stressing superficially hardened not tempered steels is accompanied intercrystalline fracture, despite a small size of the former austenitic grains. Raise of fatigue crack resistance of high-carbon steels ensures additional abatement of the hardened course by repeated pass by an electron-beam.
