Abstract
The efficiency of the antiresonant voltage transformer (ARVT) in ferroresonance prevention has been studied. Mathematical models for conventional voltage transformer (CVT) and ARVT are presented. The results obtained for the cases of 500 kV ARVT and CVT behavior, as an example, are given. Stability domains of ferroresonance during disconnection of unloaded bus sections are obtained for both ARVT and CVT 500 kV.
