Abstract :
Silicon TV tuners are rapidly displacing traditional CAN tuners. There are two main challenges in testing silicon TV tuners in production: the lack of TV signal generator on stand-along ATE and the long test time of traditional test methods. In this paper, we first present a method to create TV test signals on ATE so we can develop gold standard tests for two most challenging tests: infrequent glitch detection and ATV test. We then propose a scheme that removes the need of TV test signals while performing the tests >10 times faster.
