Abstract :
The producing mechanism of creeping wave, the parameters of creeping wave probe were discussed. The sound field emitted by creeping wave probe has multi-wave mode characteristics, transverse and head waves are produced simultaneously with the creeping wave. Based on the results of the experiment, spread ang1e diagram of the sound field of a parallel bicrystal creeping wave probe was obtained, giving that angle between maximum amplitude direction of creeping wave produced by the probe and the surface was about 15°. For a clear understanding of creeping wave of excitation and dissemination process, using dynamic photo elasticity on the way to the sound field of creeping wave probe observations. Dynamic photo elastic method the sound field of creeping wave probe test results and IIW block measuring method is better consistency.
