Abstract :
Despite of announcing the first SMC material by Höganäs AB, Sweden in 1994, only a few applications exist so far. In this paper design rules are presented exemplarily for a tubular and a long stator linear drive increasing the knowledge how to apply SMC. Additional measurements underline the high potential of this material group.
