Abstract :
The kinematics equation of Automotive steering system was established under the steering work condition and the influences of suspension parameters to steering stability were analyzed, Taking the Firestone 1T15M-2 air spring as example, the equivalent stiffness and equivalent damping of air spring with varying orifice opening were calculated, and the best orifice opening and damping coefficient in the steering situation were obtained, One quarter vehicle dynamics model and simulation model under the steering mode were established, and the dynamics simulation was carried out by simulating road surface input. The simulation results show that, a better steering stability could be obtained when the area of the orifice is 7mm2 and the damping coefficient of the damper is about 8000N·s/m, which provides the theoretical basis for future semi-active control.
