Abstract :
Bilinear pairings offer a new trapdoor function which can be used for the construction of cryptography primitives. Many cryptographic protocols based on bilinear pairings, namely the Weil and Tate pairings, have been proposed recently. The current paper presents a two-party password-based simple authenticated key agreement protocol using the Weil pairing (SAKAwp). The proposed SAKAwp protocol provides secure and efficient mutual authentication and session key agreement between the user and authentication server.
