Abstract :
The algorithms, mapping the high dynamic range images to the low dynamic range images, have been described in many literature. Especially, tone mapping operators are the typical algorithms which are designed to produce visibility and the overall impression of brightness, contrast and color of HDR images onto relative LDR displays and printers. But the results of these algorithms did not match these of the psychophysical experiments based on human visual system. The mismatches were specially presented on color, so Kuang et al. proposed a display rendering algorithm based on color appearance models to improve the color rendering. In our testing experiments of the algorithm of Kuang et al., it found that the colors of the rendering images shifted to the blue and color leakage also happened. In this paper, we proposed a HDR rendering algorithm based on color vision of the human to resolve the issues of the algorithm of Kuang et al.
