Abstract :
This paper describes a Ku-band nondegenerate parametric amplifier, using a new type of idler choke and a simple resonator, that exibits a nearly flat bandwidth of 550 MHz at 20 dB gain and a noise temperature of 280 °K at room temperature ambient.
