Title :
Research in optoelectronics at Auckland University
Author_Institution :
Auckland Univ., New Zealand
Abstract :
This article presents recent optoelectronics research at Auckland University. The Optoelectronics research group is currently expanding its interests into the areas of biophotonics taking advantage of a long history of biophysics research using laser light scattering, combined with its expertise in optical fibre applications. In addition the Optoelectronics research group has collaborative research projects with the experimental and theoretical quantum and atom optics research groups within the Physics Department. The combined resources of these groups is considerable, dominating as they do the research interests of the Department.
