Cheap live color recognition with webcam

This paper presents two methods to recognize colors with a simple webcam. The first application is made in Lab VIEW v8.6 with NI Vision Development Module v8.6 and NI IMAQ for USB. The second application is made in LabWindows/CVI with an external library for vision. The interesting fact about the first application is that LabVIEW supports only expensive IEEE 1394 and Ethernet cameras bought only from National Instruments´ supported vendors, but there is an exception at USB webcams, where all standard ones are supported. The second application has a third party webcam driver, which can be loaded easily.
