Broadband nonlinear parametric amplification in photonic crystal fibers

Abstract :
We predict that nearly flat nonlinear parametric gain with a bandwidth of 50 nm on either side of a CW pump at 1500 nm may be obtained by means of a photonic crystal fiber with two dispersion zeros.
